My ambitions are to continue to grow in the function of project manager and team leader with a future look into ict management.

After 6 years of experience in software- and web development I shifted to a project leidership function in which I'm currently active.

My Prince2 certificate, RUP training and the fact that I'm currently occupied as Scrum trainer does indicate that I am very interested in Project Management and is clearly the way for me to go into.

I'm open to interesting career opportunities, but only if I can clearly improve the content of my daily work and get a clear view on future expectations. As I'm currently active as a project leader, I put the bar high for improving my carreer as I do for all my daily challenges.

Manage the project related to the revamping of the DG HOME website on Europa and the Commissioner website (prepare the terms of reference, conduct the necessary consultation, monitor and assess the work).

Assure adequate provision and timely dissemination of information on both websites.

Collect and quality check information, create and maintain web pages, control and implement technical publication processes.

Coordinate and validate the development and implementation of web projects and ensure their compliance with Commission web publication rules and standards.

Kenneth Van Rumste is an amazing young man who, during his time in the European Commission, as project leader for the total creation of two websites, does a key, concrete and visible contribution to the Unit, the Directorate General Home Affairs of the European Commission and the Commissioner in charge of Home Affairs.

Kenneth demonstrates high motivation and interest for his work. Although new in this institution, he has quickly acquired a good knowledge and overall vision of its functioning.
Kenneth is well organised in his work, has clear views, plans and follows-up tasks in a very efficient way; he is pragmatic and result oriented.
Every day, he demonstrates his ability to produce high quality work and to split his time between the various tasks to be performed, in line with their order of priority, resulting in the colleagues and hierarchy being able to have absolute confidence in the timeliness and accuracy of his contributions. By doing so, he considerably contributes to the overall performance of the sectors for which he works, at the entire and constant satisfaction of his hierarchy.

As project leader, he always conducts and keeps his team in the right direction, focusing on the targeted objectives. He performs various tasks with different colleagues and is very much appreciated by them, whom he assists in a cheerful and helpful manner. He shows tact and diplomacy inside the unit, but also with other actors inside and outside the European Commission and is always respected for his professional competence and expertise, which he is just too willing to share with others.

Kenneth also demonstrates extensive knowledge of various languages and shows extensive knowledge of project management methodologies like RUP and Agile methods like Scrum. By managing a number of tools like MS Project and Jira for handling the project, he proves experience and skills on several technologies.

Kenneth has leadership and a high potential; he should be encouraged to continue developing it.
